Welcome to Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha
Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha is located in the Sabaragamuwa Province. It belongs to Kegalle District and there are 26 Gramaniladhari Divisions. The area is about 217.6 Sq. km. The population of the area is approximately 46000. There are 21 public representatives to represent the people of the area.
This area is consist of many beautiful waterfalls and eye catching hills and mountains. The natural environment with a high bio diversity has added an aesthetic value to this area. The highest rainfall of Sri Lanka is reported in this area. The major livelihood is Tea, Rubber and farming related to minor export crops. The amount of contribution of the industrial and services is very low apart from the business agriculture.
Mission
The mission of Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha is to maintain Health facilities, common subsidiary services and roads and streets in a good standard as well as to protect and to promote all the facilities for the betterment of the people of the area.
