Calling for protests
Calling of objections is the calling of objections regarding the licensing of a slaughterhouse. MM Altaf has requested permission to start a slaughterhouse at Bowella Road, Alahilleva Watta, Danagama. Therefore, objections are invited from you, the residents of Mawanella Constituency. I am requested to send the objections in writing in two copies to me before February 02, 2024.

Environment Day
In conjunction with the World Environment Day, the Mawanella Regional Council, together with the Mawanella Police, the Health Officer’s Office, Ganethanna villagers, implemented a cleaning program and a tree planting program on both sides of the Higul Oya Punchi Palama. A sign prohibiting littering was also installed on both sides of the road.
In conjunction with the 2023 Poson Poha, the "Poson Lantern" will be created by the staff of the Mawanella Regional Council.
On the occasion of Poson Pohya, the poetic discourse of poet Most Venerable Deepala Chandrarathana Thero, organized by the staff of Mawanella Regional Council on 02.06.2023
